WMUV Celebrates 150 Years of Women on Mission

On September 7, 2024, over 200 guests and participants gathered at CrossRoads Camp and Conference Center to celebrate the creation of the Woman’s Missionary Union of Virginia on September 7, 1874. The day featured an open house including a ministry fair with WMUV ministries and partners, a museum focused on WMU artifacts and themes from the last 150 years, a fashion show highlighting 150 years of missions history, worship, a birthday celebration, and the presentation of Roots & Wings, a history book commemorating the past century-and-a-half written by Dr. Fred Anderson.
