CrossRoads Welcomes Summer Missionary Through WMUV Peru Missions Partnership

Last summer, CrossRoads campers raised over $2,000 to benefit the Peruvian ministry Villa Milagro. Thanks to an ongoing partnership through WMUV, we're excited to welcome Leslie Garcia to the 2024 CrossRoads Summer Staff! Leslie is from Cajamarca, Peru, and serves in her church's children's ministry. Here's more about Leslie in her own words:

What I like most about serving in the church with the children is when I see them arrive and I see their enthusiasm to learn about God, that motivates me to teach, I like when they understand the story and ask more questions, even if sometimes their comments are crazy or irrational! I am very excited [ to serve at CrossRoads] because I will be able to learn new things from you about the church and how to teach children about Jesus. I am also excited to teach what I know, to show the things of my country and how we praise God here. I can meet new people who share the same happiness as me, and visiting a new country by myself makes me feel very happy and excited.

My favorite colors are green in all shades and blue, and my favorite food is fried rice (in Peru it is Chaufa rice) and KFC.

Join us in giving Leslie a warm welcome to CrossRoads and WMUV this summer! To learn more about CrossRoads, the Peru Partnership, or to join us on a fall missions trip to Cajamarca, click below.
