SISTERS WHO CARE
AFRICAN AMERICAN CHURCHES
Modeled after the National Sisters Who Care Ministry, Sisters Who Care Virginia is an expression of WMUV’s Women on Mission. We are a resource to African American congregations that affirms the kingdom work already taking place and that ignites passion and engages women and children in culturally relevant missions work.
Sisters Who Care Virginia offers training, Bible studies, workshops, conferences, and consultation to assist African American congregations in fulfilling their missions goals both locally and globally. Sisters who Care is engaged in and committed to the principles and goals of WMUV and works to inspire and equip women to influence the world for Christ.
Since its inception in October 1999, Sisters Who Care has been an integral part of Women on Mission® and its efforts to include and encourage all women to be radically involved in the mission of God. Sisters Who Care is fully committed to the focus and overarching mission of Women on Mission and seeks to motivate African-American women to join with other sisters in fulfilling the Great Commission.
