In 2021, WMUV began praying with our sisters in ministry in New York. In the same spirit, we would like to extend an invitation to prayer to women in Virginia, and we welcome anyone interested in praying more to participate. We believe prayer changes things - read below for ways to engage with us:

Monthly Zoom Prayer Meetings
Join our zoom calls with Gwen and the Prayer Partnership team on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. Our next zoom meeting is Tuesday, April 4 at 7 p.m.

Join our Executive Director/Treasurer in this prayer opportunity, which will consist of a scripture reading and a prayer leader each Wednesday morning from 6-6:15 a.m. beginning Wednesday, March 8.

1 Pray for the 30 participants that will be gathering at CrossRoads this weekend for the Trauma-Informed Church Training as they prepare to minister more effectively.
2 Pray for Jay Kieve, Abuse Prevention and Response Advocate for CBF as he leads our training at CrossRoads this weekend.
3 Pray for the safety of our children in our churches and neighborhoods.
4 Give thanksgiving for pastors who serve our congregations and communities.
5 Pray for the Christian church as we prepare for Easter Sunday.
6 Pray for those who have fallen away for Christian community that Easter will be the time to reconnect.
7 On this Good Friday, pray that Christians will grieve the things that grieve the heart of God.
8 Pray today for peace in our homes, communities and around the world.
9 Give prayers of Thanksgiving for a resurrected Savior.
10 Pray for Esther Shin, WMUV’s Multicultural Missions Strategist as she mobilizes language groups for mission.
11 Pray for the HOPE Team of WMUV as they equip the church to address mental illness with grace.
12 Pray for children and student pastors and volunteers.
13 Offer prayers for our local, state, and national political leaders.
14 Pray for Jenee Shearin, WMUV Missions Strategist and her Council as they prepare for the Sisters Who Care Missions Conference tomorrow.
15 Pray that women at the Sisters Who Care Conference today will be equipped to live a missions lifestyle.
16 Pray for the unhoused.
17 Lift up schoolteachers in prayer.
18 Pray for Rhonda Marstin, WMUV Missions Strategist of Children/Students as she prepares for Mom & Me.
19 Pray for Mom & Me Faculty as they prepare to sow into the life of girls and their moms this weekend.
20 Pray for the Baptist General Association of Virginia and the work with Virginia Baptists.
21 Pray for traveling mercies as girls and their moms travel to Eagle Eyrie for Mom & Me.
22 Pray that the missionary message at Mom & Me will inspire girls for missions.
23 Pray for Sara Hubble, Operations and Pastoral Director of CrossRoads as she prepares for summer camp.
24 Pray for Steve Dalton, WMUV Missions Strategist for Men/Boys as he equips and encourages men to mentor boys for Christ.
25 Pray for Sheryl Smith, Executive and Office Administrator for WMU of Virginia and all church administrators on this Administrative Professional Day.
