Join the Sisters Who Care Virtual Book Study!

We’re excited to invite you to a 4-week virtual study of Just a Sister Away: A Womanist Vision of Women's Relationships in the Bible, led by Jenee' Shearin. Written by Renita Weems, this book explores the relationships between women in Scripture, examining how they viewed themselves and their bonds with one another. Through chapters on women like Hagar and Sarah, Naomi and Ruth, Vashti and Esther, and others, Weems offers the powerful message that “we are just a sister away from our healing.”

Study Details:

• Dates: Thursdays in March: 6, 13, 20, & 27

• Time: 6:30pm ET

• Platform: Zoom

• Facilitators: Jenee' Shearin and Shirley Smith

This study will be discussed from an African American context, but all are welcome to join. Register by Monday, February 17th to ensure you receive your book in time for the first session.
