Shine Weekend 2022

  • CrossRoads Camp & Conference Center 2247 Little Piney Road Lowesville, VA, 22967 United States (map)

Join us March 18-20, 2022 at Shine, a weekend for teen girls grades 6-12 at CrossRoads Camp & Conference Center!

The weekend will begin with worship on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and conclude on Sunday at lunch. An optional add-on for Friday night dinner is available.

Shine weekend will feature bible study, worship, missions, breakouts, and a variety of activities. Our theme this year at Shine is Rooted, from Colossians 2: 6-7, Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, overflowing with gratitude.

To ensure health protocols, girls and leaders from the same churches will stay together, and the event will be limited to 75 registrants.

WORSHIP LEADER: KATHRYN ABEL

My name is Kathryn and I am currently a senior at Virginia Tech studying to be an accountant. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, taking pictures, and music. God has placed a love in my heart for worship and a calling on my life to be a worship leader.

BIBLE STUDY LEADER: VIRGINIA OTEY

Virginia is a Richmond native who loves to explore the city, read and spend time with her fiance, Jeremy, and their dog, Mulligan. She graduated from VCU (Go Rams!) with a degree in English and Religious Studies and is about to graduate from Union Presbyterian Seminary in May. Virginia has served as a children’s pastor for the past three years and is now pursuing ministry in hospital chaplaincy. Her guilty pleasures are spending way too much time scrolling on TikTok and drinking iced coffee no matter how cold it is outside. She’s passionate about helping people connect with God and pursue their calling.

Registration costs below include 2 nights, 5 meals, all program supplies, t-shirts and crafts.

  • Cabin Lodging: $125 per person

  • Ukrop (Hotel) Lodging, 2 per room with 2 full beds: $215 per person
