Job Title:
Executive Director/Treasurer (ED/T)
Organization:
Woman’s Missionary Union of Virginia (WMUV)
Mission: To equip and inspire churches to be on mission with God.
WMUV is a 150-year-old organization committed to empowering women and developing leaders for mission work.
Key Responsibilities:
Visionary Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all WMUV operations.
Day-to-Day Management: Oversee daily operations, including:
Financial & Personnel Management
Policy & Compliance: Implement WMUV’s policies and ensure corporate compliance (legal documents, records, contracts).
Planning & Evaluation: Facilitate the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of ministries and programs.
Board Relations: Develop relationships with the Board of Trustees and be accountable to them.
Public Representation: Serve as the public face of WMUV by:
Promoting awareness and networking
Engaging in speaking opportunities to further the mission of WMUV
Building relationships with key ministry partners

Financial Management: Proficiency in budgeting, managing complex financial systems, fundraising, and grant writing.

Self-Starter & Team Implementer: Ability to lead initiatives while collaborating effectively with the team.
Staff Management: Skill in managing staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring timely completion.

Communication: Effective communication skills with individuals, small groups, and large audiences.
Heritage Appreciation: An understanding of the history and potential of WMU/WMUV.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
College degree required; advanced and/or seminary degrees preferred.
Experience:
Strong background in financial and personnel management
Expertise in organizational development and long-term planning
Salary:
Range: $65,000 - $80,000 (commensurate with experience)
