WMUV Standing Rock Week 2021: Update I

Our 2021 journey to Standing Rock has begun. Packing was completed Saturday evening, July 21. Thank you to everyone who sent and donated school kits, hygiene kits, and preschool kits. What a blessing ! The trucks and trailers were driven by Mike and Michael Banton, Marisa and Pedro Sanchez, and Jim Anderson.

Several members of the team from Virginia participated in the Community Day at Tipi Waken on Saturday, July 24, and the volunteers driving trucks and trailers of donated kits arrived on the Reservation on Sunday, July 25.

The Virginia Team enjoyed connecting with wonderful friends. Monday morning, July 26, the team had prayer before they began their journey to neighboring sites Kenel and Wakpala.
