Divya Asish is an excellent choice to be the Coordinator for WMU of India. As a graduate of the India Baptist Theological Seminary (IBTS) with an MTh in Counseling and a Master’s degree in Chemistry, she is not one to slow down.
Divya has resigned her position as teacher at the IBTS to focus on her family and ministry through WMU of India. Her days are full being the wife to Asish, mother to Joshua, ministering to the women of “Loving Touch”, and traveling to Andra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamilnadu to start local Chapters of WMUI!
Divya is so honored to be the Coordinator of WMUI and is excited about the opportunities the partnership with WMUV affords. “This is the first stepping stone to where we will wipe off the existing social evils, injustice, poverty, unemployment, exploitations and disease among the women’s community of this nation.
WMUV leaders came to India to create a partnership with us and to empower the women. Through the partnership we can spread the love of Jesus Christ and strengthen each partner’s ability to address the needs of women and children in India.”
