Bio: In April 2005, Laura McDaniel started her tenure with the WMU of Virginia as Assistant Executive Director. In February 2007, she was appointed as Interim Executive Director/Treasurer for the organization.

On September 6, 2008 she was presented to the membership of the WMU of Virginia as the candidate for Executive Director/Treasurer.

Before coming on board with the WMU of Virginia, she was a corporate attorney working in Washington D.C. She has been a licensed attorney since 1987, concentrating in the fields of corporate, insurance and employment law.

She is blessed to be married to Henry McDaniel, who works as on-site project manager for English Construction in the highway division. She is also the mother of Patrick who is a “15-going-on-25″ teenager.

She reclaimed Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1996, and since that time she has endured many challenges and received many blessings. Through her journey with Christ, she developed a passion for helping women discover and use their spiritual gifts and passions for missions and ministry, and believes she is blessed beyond measure to serve Him through the WMU of Virginia.

She acknowledges to being a work in progress, and she is thankful for God’s patience as she continues to learn and live for His glory.
